Originally posted on: http://geekswithblogs.net/SoYouKnow/archive/2010/11/22/using-spservices-amp-jquery-to-clone-a-parent-item-and.aspx So, I mentioned a few blog posts back in jQuery in SharePoint for Hackers that I used SPServices and jQuery to clone a parent list item and all the children associated with the parent.  A few people expressed interest in seeing how this was done. This is that blog post. Prerequisites  Before diving in head first like I usually do, it would probably be a good idea for you to make sure you are comfortable with a few of my previous blog posts: Creating a SharePoint List Parent/Child Relationship – VIDEO REMIX – The result of Continue reading Using SPServices & jQuery to Clone a Parent Item and All its Children

I spoke at Tulsa Techfest on Friday and then SharePoint Saturday Dallas on Saturday. David Walker again did a great job at Tulsa Techfest. The attendance was huge and there were a lot of high caliber speakers talking about every technology you can think of. Tulsa Techfest is definitely a special event for me.  It is the very first conference I ever attended to learn about SharePoint. Before Tulsa Techfest I pretty much hated my job and loathed SharePoint more than words can ever describe. It was at Continue reading Double Duty – Tulsa Techfest and SharePoint Saturday Dallas Wrap-Up & Slides

I just could not get myself to pull the trigger. I mean, I thought it was cool, and I wanted one, but it seemed to be just a Wii+. Ya know? Well… I’d been hearing about the Kinect since it was called Natal… Remember that? Still not sure why they changed the name when they had so much buzz going early on…  Here’s a great video of it back Continue reading Microsoft Kinect will make you go “Wii???”
